Freedom Isn’t Optional – Stop shrinking, start living
When the world tells you to quiet down, your soul—and your dog—remind you to speak.
Any of these sound familiar to you….?
“You shouldn’t yell.”
“It’s not polite to speak over someone.”
“Tone it down a bit.”
“Edit that email before you send it.”
“Keep your thoughts to yourself.”
“Just turn the other cheek.”
“Suck it up, buttercup.”
But… why?
Why are we taught to shrink, censor, and soften ourselves? What happened to self-expression, sovereignty, and freedom of speech?
And somehow, we’ve taken this lesson and passed it onto our dogs too:
“Don’t bark at that dog.”
“Don’t growl when someone wants to pet you without permission.”
“Stop sniffing and staring and just keep walking.”
“Don’t jump to say hello—it’s rude.”
“Always wag your tail and love everyone you meet.”
And on and on it goes…
What’s happening to our world? Why have we learned to control, contain, and suppress—ourselves and the ones we love?
We’ve been living in boxes, carrying invisible rules, shaped by a life that tells us to conform.
But our dogs… they remember. They show us how to break free. They remind us that unruly isn’t wrong. It’s natural. It’s alive. It’s freedom.
It’s time to step out of the box. '
Step out of the matrix.
Reclaim your voice, your choices, your sovereignty—and let your dog show you the way.
Because freedom isn’t a privilege.
It’s a birth right.
And sometimes, it’s barked at us all along. 🐾

Thank you for this reminder, Sue. 🩷
What I heard here is what we are taught: don't be yourself, follow orders, and behave.
Indeed, the antithesis to freedom...
